Harry Potter Assignment

This is a Harry Potter mug that would attracted a wide range of people because it might be bought for an old man or a young child who is into Harry Potter. Also it's a good advertisement peice to have in your cupboard, and shows people your love for Harry Potter. The picture is a mid shot of Harry and the light is mainly shining on his face. Also it looks like he is pointing the wand at us which draw the audience in and portrays the film because Harry Potter is all about magic and wands. Also Harry looks really light in the foreground and the background is very dark which matches the film because the films dark. As christmas is coming up soon this would be a good christmas present, and also as it's cold because we're in winter a lot of people will be having a hot drink.  

 This xbox is targeted mostly at boys around the age of 12 and above because of its rating. its a great merchandise because not only are you getting a game but it will also tell you a bit about the story so baiscally you are getting sneak preview before the film has actually come out. Also this would be a good advertisement to be in game shops such as HMV and Game.

 A poster is the better advertisement strategy because you can put it anywhere and also in public places which means you are getting alot of viewers. This is target at a whole range of target audiences. This can be shown in places like cinemas, train stations, shop windows and bus stops.

 Having a t-shirt as a merchandise can be a good idea but also a bad idea because not everyone will buy one and wear which means not many people are seeing it, if you buy one and leave it in your wardrobe. But this can be targeted at everyone but mostly boys, as you wouldn't see a girl in a Harry Potter t-shirt as much as they love him.

 A scarf is mostly targeted at boys because it is the colour blue, and also doesn't really attracted the older audience.

This bag is a good merchandise for girls because all girls love Hermione and love bags. Also if they use it out more girls will be encouraged to buy one which will make is good advertisement for Harry Potter 7. Another thing could be that Harry Potter is more like a boys film so they are trying to bring girls into it by bringing out a bag and targetting it at a female audience.

Still Horror Image

This is my still horror image. The background is very dark and there is only a filler light shining on the bottom of the face to highlight the main features to make it more mysterious. The shot looks like it is a low angle shot but it wasn't taken at an angle, this is because the charater has their head down with their eyes looking directly at the camera which makes it more effective and scary. This is a head shot because you can only she the head and the shoulders. Also from this shot you can't really tell the charaters image as we are not shown alot only the bottom half of the face.
